In practice, aecision makers of environmental companies dispatch their own and rental vehicles, and select the waste-treatment plants according their experiences without a system perspective, which is neither efficient nor effective. Therefore, this research adopts the time-space network technique to build a model with the aim of minimizing the total operating cost, to help environmental protection companies for construction waste transport scheduling and waste-treatment plant sites selecting. To efficiently solve large problems occurred in practice, a solution algorithm is also developed, finally, a case study using real data from an environmental company is conducted to evaluate the proposed model and the solution algorithm. The preliminary test results are good, showing that the model and the solution algorithm could be used as references in practice. |
